Housing market to remain open during lockdown in England
ARLA PropertyMark, our governing body, has confirmed and clarified the government’s most recent announcement that estate and lettings agents and removal firms can continue to work during the current lockdown in England
Property viewings are still allowed to take place as long as the COVID-19 safety guidance is followed. The Country House Company has been following the safety guidance since the initial lockdown in March 2020 and has procedures in place to ensure the safety of our clients and team members, along with the smooth running of the business.
These regulations include
Visits to the office are by appointment only
Viewings take place after the applicant has discussed the property with a team member and is confident it is suitable
Prior to any viewing all parties give written confirmation that they are not self-isolating, are showing any symptoms or have been in contact with anyone currently self-isolating
Viewings are arranged with a half hour interval between applicants
No more than 2 adults view the property at any one time
No children or pets will be given access to the property
Viewing kept to a maximum of 15 minutes inside the property where possible
Face coverings/masks and gloves are worn during any interaction with clients and during viewing
Internal doors will be open to minimize any surfaces being touched
All team members are also following strict internal guidelines to ensure their safety and that of our clients.
If you wish to discuss any of the above please call the office on 02392 632275
